A perpetual student (meaning that, at thirty, I'm still working on my degree) currently on a tangent into the banking industry. Beware, it is a limiting and somewhat soul-sucking endeavour, fraught with peril as one moves up the ladder, but one must pay the bills. And they never stop coming once you're out on your own. Trust me.
A fanfiction writer, I'm archived at fanfiction.net, The Werewolf Registry, and on the Professor's Bookshelf at The Sugar Quill, all under the penname eclecticmum. As you can probably tell by the sites listed, I write primarily Harry Potter fanfic, though I've been known to venture into Hornblower fic as well.
A two-time (so far) NaNoWriMo winner, in 2006 (my first year attempting it) and 2007.
I am a passionate reader, of both mainstream and off the wall sorts of subjects. Published Works and well-written fanfiction are equally appealing. Rhiannon (![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) contedicesare) and Thing1 are two of the best writers I've had the pleasure to come into contact with.

After dipping my toes into anime for a short while, I took a full-fledged swandive into it and am enjoying the experience immensely. Japanese animation is almost limitless in it's range, providing something for every taste. Mine tend to lean towards shoujo, with a healthly dose of shonen to balance me out, give me interesting plots and unexpected twists and I'm a happy girl.
Once an avid user of e-mailing lists, I am the founder and the Queen Mum of the Brown-Eyed Wonder Brigade. I met most of my very best e-friends on that list and HHfic (hi girls).
